About Us
We are a family owned and operated farm located in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia.
We Specialize in the breeding and production of Coturnix Quail and Coturnix Quail Eggs for both eating and hatching. We started raising Coturnix Quail in 2012 for our own consumption of the meat and eggs due to our cholesterol levels. We started to raise our own meats and canning everything that we could grow. I am glad to say that after making this lifestyle change our cholesterol is now in the normal range without medications. We already had meat rabbits which are white meat so we were looking for a dark meat with a small footprint here at the farm. We decided the Japanese Cotrunix Quail was the answer. We acquired some hatching eggs from a very well known and respected Quail research and development facility in Louisiana, hatched them, and watched them grow into the flock that would be supplying us with the needed dark meat and eggs. Suddenly we had people showing up and knocking on our door asking if we were the people that have quail wanting to buy either live birds, eggs, or meat. Everyone was finding out about us from the feed store.
At this point we decided to make the next evolution and create AJ Farms, LLC.
AJ Farms, LLC was created in September of 2016 and we hope to be able to continue to grow by introducing the community to the benefits of the quail and its tiny eggs which is packed with lots of vitamins and minerals.

We have live Jumbo Brown Meat Maker Coturnix Quail available for sale from chicks to adult
For chicks: If we do not have the amount you want we will do a custom hatch.
We became members of the National Poultry Improvement Plan in September of 2016 and are Pollurium Typhoid (salmonella) and AI (Avian Influenza) Clean. We then became Pollurium Typhoid testers for the state of VA and we sell and ship Hatching Eggs all over the USA
